Casa AC is a family home in Castellvell del Camp, Barcelona. The house designed by the architect and professor of la Salle University David Boada was built in 2014. It has three bedrooms, two bathrooms, garden and a total of 220m2
The design follows the space connection within rooms. In the first floor all the common areas such as kitchen, dinning room and living room are open spaces although separated from each other with corridor conections. This first floor also has two bathrooms, an office and a connection to the garage. The second floor follows the distribtuion of the first one where we have two cores: the main dormitory (a suite) and the children dormitories with a common playing area.
The relationship with the exterior has an increased value with the big openings towards the swimming pool and the garden. In the living room and dinning we can appreciate the enviroment with glass walls and both are conected by a small porch that opens up towards the sky. The swimming pool it is the focus of this exterior design.
The aim of the project was to representate in an accurate and architectonical way the building. Since it was the first year project we introduced ourselves to Autocad and the representationt using plans, elevations and sections. Not only that but also the modelling in 3D took part in this initial course. We started playing with renders and virtual representations using an augmented reality tool to show our project.
